Swine Flu and the Informed Consumer

by Susan Ellis

I feel I must enter another blog about the flu after reading a fascinating article by Dr. Mercola -."Why is Canada Changing Its Flu Vaccine Policy?" It does seem with our vaccinating programs this year there is conflict and mixed messages. Perhaps that is because there is a greater political/commercial vested interest evident this year. There is an array of conspiracy theories expressed on You Tube at this time. The seasonal flu has never garnered so many headlines.

All those involved with the administering of Public Health Services are asking us to wait our turn and be vaccinated. But live in a different province, state or country and you may be given different directions. All are interpreting the data differently. Why? What are the doctors saying? There are many quoted in Dr. Mercola's article presenting a very disturbing reality.

Having a healthy immune system seems key to lowering the risk of getting winter colds and flu. One immune booster I mentioned in the last post is vitamin D and it is listed in Dr.Mercola's article. But also exercise is noted as something which will make us less vulnerable to infection.

Dr. Mercola was a family physician but felt that he could contribute more to the world by providing information on a website to allow informed consumers make healthy decisions for themselves. He writes -

"The site takes up virtually all of my time and I had to stop seeing patients in 2005 so I can pursue my passion of educating the public about health truths so hundreds of thousands of people don't have to die prematurely every year because of multinational corporations that put profits ahead of serving their customers..

I remain convinced that through coordinated efforts it will be possible to help educate and inform people so they can choose healthier options and radically reduce the amount of unnecessary premature deaths and needless pain and suffering."

So I will continue to take my vitamin D; I will ensure exercise is part of schedule.
I'll keep washing my hands and of course taking my daily dose of Zrii and soon I will make my decision about having none, one or two flu shots this year.

<dc:subject>flu</dc:subject><dc:subject>Zrii</dc:subject>

11.Flu Season is More Deadly This Year

By Susan Ellis of Keylifejourneys

Media hype regarding the flu has reached monumental proportions this week in Toronto. The death of a teenager from complications from the H1N1 virus within 2 days of the first symptom has stunned everyone. On Thursday I was driving past one of the centres where the anti- H1N1 shot is being administered. The line up of mainly pregnant women and children stretched around the park land in front of the civic centre. Shortly thereafter they had stopped new people, ensuring those in line would get service before the clinic closed. There are calls for 24 hour access.

While everyone is panic struck, while people are clutched by anxiety and fear, stress is mounting. Stress puts pressure on the immune system making us more vulnerable to infection.

Lets go back to basics. Lets take a deep breath and look at how we normally handle exposure to infection. If we have had bad habits in the past it is time to change. For example I was at church last week and as a volunteer, after the service, I was cleaning up the left behind orders of service from the pews. In nearly every pew there were abandoned used paper tissues. This is like leaving a loaded gun behind. Often the germs have passed through the tissue and onto the user's hand. That hand is now going to touch a door, a subway train grab bar, the apple they didn't pick in the supermarket, the money you got in your change.

The internet is full of good information as to how to protect yourself from others and to make you mindful in how your behaviour impacts on the health of others. The internet is also a place which feeds the gullible with false promises and hoaxes. One circulating at present suggests that a cut up onion in the house will absorb germs. Always check out such claims at www.snopes.com This onion story dates back 100 years and is an old wife's tale. I have included Snopes links to my alternative medicine actions.

Thousands of people die any winter, year after year, from the regular flu yet our behaviour to limit the transmission does not reflect any concern. Is it now that since predominantly younger people are being infected we are suddenly feeling scared? Maybe if we had all behaved differently when the elderly and chronically ill were dying; we would not be panicking now.

Below I have listed some precautions and some techniques I have collected from the internet. The salt water gargle and sinus cleansing I am doing. I also consume at least 1000 UI vitamin D a day. But also I am drinking the best immune builder of all - I'm drinking my Zrii.

Colds and flu are transported by virus filled droplets from sneezes and coughs. They move through the air for us to breath or they land on the things we touch. Our hands then carry the virus to other surfaces such as our mouth, eyes and nose. When the virus lands of food or food preparation surfaces we are also at risk.

1. Sneeze and cough into a tissue or your sleeve. If using a tissue, dispose of it safely. Don't leave it behind openly. Wash your hands after using a tissue.
2. Wash your hands after touching any surface which has been touched by others. Keep your hands away from your mouth when touching objects outside the home.
3. Disinfect surfaces in the home where droplets may fall. This is very important when children are present who often have their fingers in their mouth or put toys in their mouth.
4. Frequent hand-washing. Carry hand washing gels with you at all times. Use dispensers when you see them in public places. Encourage public places you use regularly to install hand sanitizing dispensers - your supermarket, the lobby of your apartment building etc
5. Gargle twice a day with warm salt water (use Listerine if you don't trust salt). The flu takes 2-3 days after initial infection in the throat/nasal cavity to proliferate and show characteristic symptoms. Simple gargling prevents proliferation. http://www.snopes.com/medical/swineflu/prevent.asp
6. Vitamin D is an immunity booster.
7. Weekly World News, a magazine in Canada, in its issue dated 17 January,1995 has given the following list of diseases that can be cured by honey and cinnamon as researched by western scientists: Those suffering from common or severe colds should take one tablespoon lukewarm honey with 1/4 spoon cinnamon powder daily for three days. This process will cure most chronic cough, cold, and clear the sinuses.
8. Daily use of honey and cinnamon powder strengthens the immune system and protects the body from bacteria and viral attacks. Scientists have found that honey has various vitamins and iron in large
amounts. Constant use of Honey strengthens the white blood corpuscles to fight bacterial and viral diseases.
9. A scientist in Spain has proved that honey contains a natural 'Ingredient' which kills the influenza germs and saves the patient from flu. http://www.snopes.com/medical/homecure/honey.asp

Perhaps when all is said and done washing hands, disinfecting surfaces and keeping germs to oneself are the techniques to focus on. This may mean that some should stay home from work and school for the sake of others. If you have to go out while infected, wear a mask.

If we focused more on preventing others from getting colds and flu from us, we would have a healthier world. But somehow we assume someone else is the enemy.

Now why not add some Zrii to your health regime?
Meanwhile let's look at some photographs I took during a walk in the rain at the beginning of October.

<dc:subject>Zrii</dc:subject>

10.Turmeric - One of the Ingredients of Zrii

I'm sharing with you today information about the wonder spice Turmeric which is not only a mainstay of Eastern cooking but also medicine. The article below was written by Dr. Mercola and appears on his excellent website. There are references to other sites including the opportunity to learn more about Ayurveda - the wisdom of life. When you have absorbed all that information do come back and learn what the doctors of Ayurveda say about Zrii, the nutrient beverage they have formulated here in North America to improve our health.

Super Spice Secrets: Can This Miracle Spice Stop Cancer, Alzheimer's and Arthritis?

By Dr. Mercola

For more than 5,000 years, turmeric has been an important part of Eastern cultural traditions, including traditional Chinese medicine and Ayurveda. Valued for its medicinal properties and warm, peppery flavor, this yellow-orange spice has more recently earned a name for itself in Western medicine as well.
Turmeric comes from the root of the Curcuma longa plant, which is native to Indonesia and southern India, and is widely used as an ingredient in curry dishes and yellow mustard. As research into this powerful spice has increased, it has emerged as one of nature’s most powerful potential healers.
Said Dr. David Frawely, founder and director of the American Institute for Vedic Studies in Santa Fe, New Mexico:
“If I had only one single herb to depend upon for all possible health and dietary needs, I would without much hesitation choose the Indian spice Turmeric. There is little it cannot do in the realm of healing and much that no other herb is able to accomplish.
Turmeric has a broad spectrum of actions, mild but certain effects, and is beneficial for long term and daily usage. Though it is a common spice, few people, including herbalists know of its great value and are using it to the extent possible. It is an herb that one should get to know and live with.”
Turmeric’s Beneficial Effects in a Nutshell
Strengthens and improves digestion
• Reduces gas and bloating
• Assists in the digestion of protein and with rice and bean dishes
• Improves your body's ability to digest fats
• Promotes proper metabolism, correcting both excesses and deficiencies
• Maintains and improves intestinal flora
• Improves elimination of wastes and toxins
Supports healthy liver function and detox
• Turmeric helps increase bile flow making it a liver cleanser that can rejuvenate your liver cells and recharge their capability to break down toxins
• Helps to prevent alcohol and other toxins from being converted into compounds that may be harmful to your liver
• Supports formation of healthy tissue
      Purifies your blood
• Stimulates formation of new blood tissue
• Anti-inflammatory: Helps to reduce irritation to tissues characterized by pain, redness, swelling and heat
Contains curcuminoids that fight cancer, arthritis, and Alzheimer’s
• Curcuminoids are potent phytonutrients (plant-based nutrients) that contain powerful antioxidant properties
• Counteract the damaging effects of free radicals in your body
• Relieve arthritis pain and stiffness, anti-inflammatory agent
• Anti-carcinogenic: “Curcumin has been shown to prevent a large of number of cancers in animal studies. Laboratory data indicate that curcumin can inhibit tumor initiation, promotion, invasion, angiogenesis and metastasis.”[1]
• Supports treatment of Alzheimer’s disease: “Because Alzheimer's disease is caused in part by amyloid-induced inflammation, curcumin has been shown to be effective against Alzheimer's. Clinical trials are in progress at UCLA with curcumin for Alzheimer's.”[2]
Curcumin: Turmeric’s Active Anti-Inflammatory “Ingredient”
Most notably turmeric is known for its potent anti-inflammatory properties, which come from curcumin -- the pigment that gives turmeric its yellow-orange color, and which is thought to be responsible for many of its medicinal effects. There are an estimated three to five grams of curcumin in 100 grams of turmeric.
Curcumin has been shown to influence more than 700 genes, and it can inhibit both the activity and the synthesis of cyclooxygenase-2 (COX2) and 5-lipooxygenase (5-LOX), as well as other enzymes that have been implicated in inflammation.[3]
Turmeric’s Cancer-Fighting Properties
In India where turmeric is widely used, the prevalence of four common U.S. cancers -- colon, breast, prostate and lung -- is 10 times lower. In fact, prostate cancer, which is the most frequently diagnosed cancer in U.S. men, is rare in India and this is attributed, in part, to turmeric.
Numerous studies have looked into this potential cancer-fighting link, with promising results. For instance, curcumin has been found to:
• Inhibit the proliferation of tumor cells
• Inhibit the transformation of cells from normal to tumor
• Help your body destroy mutated cancer cells so they cannot spread throughout your body
• Decrease inflammation
• Enhance liver function
• Inhibit the synthesis of a protein thought to be instrumental in tumor formation
• Prevent the development of additional blood supply necessary for cancer cell growth
As for the results of research studies, a study in Biochemical Pharmacology found that curcumin can slow the spread of breast cancer cells to the lungs in mice.[4]
"Curcumin acts against transcription factors, which are like a master switch," said lead researcher, Bharat Aggarwal. "Transcription factors regulate all the genes needed for tumors to form. When we turn them off, we shut down some genes that are involved in the growth and invasion of cancer cells."
A second study in Biochemical Pharmacology also found that curcumin inhibits the activation of NF-kappaB, a regulatory molecule that signals genes to produce a slew of inflammatory molecules (including TNF, COX-2 and IL-6) that promote cancer cell growth.[5]
Turmeric’s Essential Role for Your Liver
Your liver’s primary role is to process and remove toxins carried in your bloodstream. When functioning at its peak, it can filter up to two liters of blood per minute and easily break apart toxic molecules to reduce their toxicity. Your liver is also a crucial part of vitamin, mineral, protein, fat, carbohydrate and hormonal metabolism.
However, poor diet, allergens, pollution and stress can cause your liver to become sluggish, and this can impair its vital functions. This is where turmeric can be a very useful part of your liver support system. Studies have shown that it:
• May increase important detoxification enzymes in your liver
• Induces the formation of a primary liver detoxification enzyme, glutathione S-transferase (GST) enzymes
Turmeric is also a natural cholagogue, a medicinal agent that promotes the discharge of bile from your system. Increased bile flow is important to help your liver detoxify and to help your body digest fats.
Turmeric for Your Heart, Brain and Overall Health
Turmeric inhibits free radical damage of fats, including cholesterol. When cholesterol is damaged in this way, or oxidized, it can then damage your blood vessels and lead to a heart attack or stroke. Therefore, research suggests that turmeric’s ability to prevent the oxidation of cholesterol may be beneficial for your heart. It’s also rich in vitamin B6, high intakes of which are associated with a reduced risk of heart disease.
Meanwhile, turmeric appears to be highly protective against neurodegenerative diseases. In fact, in India levels of neurological diseases such as Alzheimer’s are very low, and studies have shown that curcumin can slow the progression of Alzheimer’s in mice. The compound has also proven capable of blocking the progression of multiple sclerosis.
Further, Professor Moolky Nagabhushan from the Loyola University Medical Center, Chicago, IL, who has been studying turmeric for the last 20 years, believes that turmeric can protect against harmful environmental chemicals, and in so doing protect against childhood leukemia. The research showed that curcumin in turmeric can:[7]
• Inhibit the toxicity of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) (cancer-causing chemicals in the environment)
• Inhibit radiation-induced chromosome damage
• Prevent the formation of harmful heterocyclic amines and nitroso compounds, which may result in the body when eating certain processed foods, such as processed meat products
• Irreversibly inhibit the multiplication of leukemia cells in a cell culture
Turmeric's volatile oils also have external anti-bacterial action. As such, they may help prevent bacterial wound infections and accelerate wound healing. Johnson & Johnson even sells a curcumin-containing Band-Aid in India!
And the therapeutic potential of turmeric and curcumin do not end there. Evidence suggests the spice may also be beneficial for:
• Cystic fibrosis
• Type 2 diabetes
• Crohn’s disease
• Psoriasis
• Rheumatoid arthritis
• Cataracts
• Gallstones
• Muscle regeneration
• Inflammatory bowel disease
Which Type of Turmeric is Best?
For use in cooking, choose a pure turmeric powder, rather than a curry powder. At least one study has found that curry powders tend to contain very little curcumin, compared to turmeric powder. Turmeric is also available in supplement form and for many this is a more convenient method to obtain these health benefits discussed above, especially if they are from a high-quality organic source and if one doesn’t particularly enjoy the taste of curry.
On my recent trip to India I was able to find a company called Organic India that produces probably some of the best Indian herbs on the planet.

[1] The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, Complementary/Integrative Medicine Education Resources, “Curcumin at M.D. Anderson” (accessed January 22, 2009)
[2] The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, Complementary/Integrative Medicine Education Resources, “Curcumin at M.D. Anderson” (accessed January 22, 2009)
[3] The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, Complementary/Integrative Medicine Education Resources, “Curcumin at M.D. Anderson” (accessed January 22, 2009)
[4] Biochemical Pharmacology, Volume 70, Issue 5, 1 September 2005, Pages 700-713
[5] The World’s Healthiest Foods, Turmeric
[6] The World’s Healthiest Foods, Turmeric
[7] The World’s Healthiest Foods, Turmeric
Source
The World’s Healthiest Foods: Turmeric

<dc:subject>Zrii</dc:subject>

9. Noticing the Small Things with Zrii

By Susan Ellis of Keylifejourneys

I went walking on a snow covered trail through a park near where I live last Sunday. One path had been made by walkers and another by cross country skiers. The temperature had gone above freezing for the first time in ages and it almost felt balmy. There wasn't a wind blowing, you could feel the stillness. As I stood close to the river the sound of moving water released to the air was audible. There was a melting going on, small changes taking place. Not enough to notice unless you really focused.

That is the trouble with our over stimulating world. You have to hit us over the head with something before we notice. But when I get out in nature it is as if the switch is clicked and I go into meditative mode and become aware of what really is.

Two people who have just started drinking Zrii are also able to focus on minute change and became excited at the awareness. The first has been recovering from surgery. She has been in pain and discomfort. She has a lot of stress in her life, it isn't convenient being sick at this time. So she started drinking Zrii. She said she felt something different in her body with the first mouthful. She felt a warming inside. It was comforting.. She just knew, in that moment that she was going to get strong quickly. She had awakened from her post surgical shutdown and knew she was on the mend. Our body's give us messages like that, all the time. We are usually too busy to read them.

My second reporter has issues with blood pressure. Not high, just fluctuating. She is also one of the 20% of the population who suffers from White Coat Syndrome. For some reason their blood pressure goes up when it is tested by a professional.

It took her several days to put into words the experience she had when she started drinking Zrii. It was a feeling that came over her beyond words. I was a bit concerned when she started to explain and so I asked "Is it a good feeling?"
"Oh yes," she responded. "Within a day I was experiencing a significant level of calmness. There isn't another word to describe it. I just know my blood pressure is going to be down next time it is tested."

My pictures are of that walk in the park.

<dc:subject>Zrii</dc:subject>

8. Do You Believe In Coincidence?

By Susan Ellis of keylifejourneys

I never cease to be amazed about the stories of the miracle of Zrii. This is a nutrient beverage formulated by practitioners of Ayurveda from 7 natural fruits and herbs. Read this account written by Dave Vass of Calgary, Alberta who has been promoting and selling Zrii since it first came on the market.

"A month ago I was in New York city doing a Zrii meeting with one of my good friends and Zrii leader Gene Pomerants. While in New York I stayed in their home on their son's bunk bed. As I got to know their family I soon discovered that their daughter has this rare kidney disorder.

Gene informed me that their daughter who is 5 years old has been on chemo therapy and steroids just to keep her alive from this kidney disorder. The doctors told Gene and his wife that there is nothing they can do to help her other than give her these powerful meds.

Well, a few months ago Gene met an Ayurvedic doctor on an airplane. After Gene told the doctor about his daughter's condition, she said that if it were her she would take her completely off all the medications and put her on and adult dose of Zrii.

Now you can imagine the difficult decision that Gene and his wife faced at this point. Do they risk taking their little girl off the medications that are supposedly saving her life? Or do they take a leap of faith and try something new that might work.

Want to know what happened? Then watch this video of Gene as he tells you firsthand what happened:

But, the story gets even better. Here I am sitting at my regular coffee shop where I like to do my work. Jenn, my wife, gives me a call and starts telling me about how our neighbor's daughter has been in the hospital for 2 weeks.

Now, you have to understand something. Our neighbor just recently adopted this precious little girl who they named Jewel. They went through years of "red tape" just to acquire this precious girl who immediately became the the apple of their eye. Can you even imagine what they are going through since they just found out she has this rare kidney disorder?

Yes, you heard me right. Their newly adopted little girl has the EXACT same kidney disorder that Gene's daughter has.

O.k. so let me put this in perspective. Apparently this kidney disorder is RARE. In other words, it is possible that none of you reading this has even heard of this condition where all the protein in the body escapes through the urine. So let me ask you, what are the chances that I would stay with this little girl from New York one month ago only to find out that my neighbor's adopted girl has the same condition?

Coincidence? I don't think so.

I don't know what will happen. But, I promise you that I will be giving them as much Zrii as they need. I feel like I could save their
daughter's life.

Do you know the feeling I have right now? That I'm in a business where I could literally save my neighbor's little girl? I can't tell you how I feel... I feel better than a doctor. I feel sad but happy. I am so proud to offer a product like Zrii that could save so many lives.

You never know who you will come across that could use Zrii to make their lives better!

Take care,

Dave Vass
9 Star and Founding Distributor of Zrii"

Now much risk taking was described in this story. Gene took his daughter off medications prescribed by Physicians whom he trusted.
His leap of faith worked out well. But I would suggest that if you plan to change a medication regime, you do it while consulting with your primary medical team.

Now since I am in the habit of adding some of my photos to these blog entries I have chosen 3 I took in the Rocky Mountains in Alberta when I was there in 2007. I do this because the story writer comes from Alberta, Canada.

<dc:subject>Zrii</dc:subject>

7. Wind chills of
-30C. Of course those from the Prairies
will say we are experiencing balmy weather here, compared to what they have,
but I'm not in competition. It is cold. And I might add that it is colder than
what I lived through in Antarctica last year!!

I had a busy social holiday season and encountered many people
with colds and other infections. So how did my Zrii protection stand up?
Typically I only get about one cold a winter. Classically it lasts 2-3 weeks
and goes through three stages. The sore throat, and oh boy can that be painful.
Then comes the sinus congestion and secretions and finally the cough. The cough
is usually the dry tickling type; infection does not generally go down into my
chest.

Well I must report that after the festive season's barrage of
germs the sore throat came. It lasted two days and was easily bearable. My nose
dripped for 5 days and that was the end of it. It was gone in a week and I did
not feel "under the weather" at all.

I have a friend who felt a sore throat coming on at the
beginning of the winter. She was a bit unset because since she was taking Zrii
she was hoping to avoid all that. Also her colds go straight to her chest and
sometimes finish up as pneumonia. So on seeing the first signs of a cold, she
took her Zrii, went to bed early, and had a good night's sleep and next morning
- the symptoms had gone.

I'm trusting that I am well protected. But another test awaits.
Many of us go south during the winter for warmth and sunshine. Two years ago I
went to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico in a plane filled with
many cold carrying Canadians. So there I was on the beach with my Kleenex and
trying to buy cough medicine with Spanish instructions on the label. The
congestion meant pressure built up in my ears on the plane journey home and I
was deaf for a while after returning. So I'm back to Puerto Vallarta in March -
I'm anticipating a better outcome this time.

I am diabetic and before Thankgiving I was diagnosed with a heart malfunctioning. My eyesight was such that it was almost impossible to read from being so watery and blurry. Every day was in a haze of dizziness. All I wanted to do is lay around. I weigh over 300 lbs.
I have not lost weight but I am toning up because I can do things again without my heart racing. I couldn't even fit into my winter jacket. I am exercising and feeling so much better. I can read again. My son and I no longer have constipation".

Can you imagine how these changes are going to effect her, long term? How her life is going to become so much more productive and positive? She goes on to say :

"My first enrollee, has gotten over irritable bowel syndrome. It just gets things moving regularly."

When Brenda talks about an enrolee it means that she is selling Zrii to others. Zrii, the company, has Bill Farley as the CEO who has spent a lifetime building businesses into billion dollar companies. There are over 1600 square feet of greenhouse space containing tropical and seasonal plants. I took these pictures on Sunday 4th January with snow on the ground outside and festive colours inside.

<dc:subject>Zrii</dc:subject>

5. Season's Greetings

By Susan Ellis of Key Life Journeys

Here in Toronto we are covered in a layer of clean white snow. Although the temperature is due to rise a bit before Christmas day, winter is really here. Cold weather, bad driving conditions and festive season preparations all add stress to one's life. Stress depletes the immune system making one more vulnerable to all the viruses and bacteria lurking in every bus and train, movie theatre and shopping mall.

I'm drinking my Zrii each day and know that my immune system is functioning at its best. I'm sleeping well and have the energy to face all I must engage in. I know my body, mind and spirit are all in balance to face and enjoy this holiday season and the winter ahead.

It did not surprise me to hear the story of Jay Tsougrianis who is also experiencing the benefits of Zrii having been taking it for just a few months.

"I have now been drinking Zrii the Original Amalaki for over 3.5 months. I have had some incredible changes happen in my body that I would like to share. Because Zrii has helped in so many areas I am going to do this point form.

1. I have suffered with cold sores for about 13 years now. I get a cold sore about 6 to 12 times per year. Not fun. Since taking Zrii I have had 4 episodes where I felt the tingling that usually signals the next cold sore. Twice by day 2 the tingling has disappeared and the cold sores have not appeared. This was the first Christmas I can remember since my early 20's without a cold sore. I have gotten two cold sores in total since taking Zrii but amazingly they were gone in less than 60 hours or 2.5 days. Normally I suffer for 10 days to 2 weeks. Again Zrii has proven to be more than useful not only in reducing stress but as an anti-viral.

2. Sleep has never been my strong point. As an avid worrier, I often found myself unable to fall asleep and unable to stay asleep. Since taking Zrii my sleep has improved significantly. I fall asleep easily and I stay asleep most of the night. When I do wake I quickly fall back asleep rather than lying awake for hours.

3. Twice in the last three months I have felt a cold coming on. A few sniffles and that is about it. As I watch all the people around me getting the usual winter season ailments, I have not only been able to avoid them by taking Zrii, but able to maintain an unusual amount of energy through the little bit of sniffles I do get. My children as well have not been getting sick, while all the children around them seem to be missing school and staying home with a cold or flu.

4. Last but not least, Zrii the Original Amalaki is known as the great rejuvenator. Well in my case that is an understatement. I have found that my energy level has gone way up. A little shot of Zrii at around 3:00 pm and no more afternoon crash. I am able to keep alert and energized all day right up to bedtime."

I wish you all season's greetings and the hope for 2009 that we all find opportunity for good health, peace, prosperity and abundance in our lives.

As always I will add some of my photographs below.

this picture is of a blizzard on Snow Hill Island in Antarctica. Peace of Mind

By Susan Ellis

I want to share another way Zrii is enhancing my life. I am a creative writer. I enjoy letting my imagination wander down paths never seen before. I love to write about the paths I have indeed experienced in reality. But another facet of me is the desire to witness the moment that is here and now. I often practice this in my garden, making myself centre on the movements, sights and sounds, the breeze on my skin and so on. This is the greatest way to find relaxation and peace. However to be successful at both these activities, focus is necessary; paying attention. Keeping at bay the intrusive worries and fears.

Well, since I have been drinking Zrii, I can honestly say that I am more focused. I can sit down at my computer and write for longer without succumbing to distraction. I am even lasting longer when it comes to the book keeping required for me to complete my income tax returns. Now that is a test of focus and concentration!!

So when I read this testimonial from Mia, I could really appreciate what she was saying.

I am a registered nurse, married and have two children with ADHD. My son is 10 and my daughter is 13. My daughter has had success with the medication she takes, but my son has always been up and down on dosages and has never truly benefited due to the side effects of the medicine; poor appetite, motor ticks, poor fluid intake etc… We have tried almost every type of ADHD medication out there. He has been taking Zrii now for 3 weeks and we have noticed that he is calmer, eating better and sleeping better. We hope that the longer he drinks Zrii, his symptoms will keep decreasing, hopefully being able to take him off the medication all together. We are very excited to share this experience and want to give people hope that Zrii can help their children too. This is one of the reasons I am so passionate about being able to share Zrii with friends, family and everyone across the globe!. Mia, Indiana

Give Zrii to your kids and have peace of mind.

Let me share with you some images from my garden where I find my peace of mind.

<dc:subject>Zrii</dc:subject>

3. Zrii Inspires Hope

I am having opportunity to meet other people who are drinking Zrii and also reading wonderful stories of recovery. This one particularly touched my heart. Dhyanna writes -

"I am recovering from an Auto-Immune Disease and Adrenal Fatigue caused by Mercury Poisoning. The outward physical manifestations were hives for 15 years, 2 years of rash on entire trunk of body with open sores and extreme itching, fatigue, constant low grade fever, insomnia and severe memory problems. I spent much of my spare time researching and all of my money healing myself.

After about 2 weeks on ZRII I noticed my energy level increased, it feels like a more sustained energy level, a well being high or just the energy I had when I was much younger. My memory is so much better, I can now remember things I had no access to for so many years. I can also study better now. I have better BM's which has always been something I've had to watch. I feel more nourished now, at night I usually want a snack, usually carbohydrates or something sweet but because I feel more nourished it is much easier to skip the not so healthy snacks which allows me to heal faster. This sounds simple but this is really big, nothing has ever done that for me. Now when the low grade flu starts to set in if I drink a couple of ounces of ZRII it brings me right out of that flu feeling.

The ability of Zrii to increase the immune system was further demonstrated to me by a presentation I saw from a local Live Blood Analysis practitioner showing before and after pictures after taking one ounce of Zrii, in the before picture it showed the white blood cells all clumped together and squished, trapping the immune system from working properly, in the after picture after just one (1) ounce of Zrii you could see the white blood cells moving freely, all nice and round and free to do the work the immune system was designed to do, keep us healthy!

One more thing, the last few nights I have taken 2 or 3 ounces before bed as I heard someone say they sleep better when they do that, well much to my surprise not only did I sleep better but when I looked in the mirror in the morning the wrinkles and bags under my eyes were noticeably gone, which usually takes a shower to re-hydrate and plump my skin, Zrii truly is a youth promoting Superfood.

I must tell you though, it took a couple of weeks before I really started to notice the results, you must remember that every BODY has its own challenges and in most cases it probably doesn't happen overnight so drinking Zrii for 1 to 3 months is advised if you want to see what accumulative results you will receive. The longer I take Zrii the more wellbeing I feel, my energy level is expanding to greater horizons, it's difficult to explain but I feel like I did when I was very young.

Blessings,

Dhyanna Gagne

When I read this I was filled with hope. Hope that excited me. Hope that change can enter the lives of those whom, for what ever reason, are not able to function at their best. Our stress filled lives depletes our immune system, making us vulnerable to disease. I am trusting that Zrii is going to keep me healthy this winter.

Hope also is inspired for me by Spring. So I am enclosing some photographs I took this past May on the shores of Lake Couchaching in Ontario Canada. The Trillium, a wild flower that grows in the spring time woods, is the Ontario's Provincial flower.

Lake Couchaching sunrise

trillium

<dc:subject>Zrii</dc:subject>

2. My Health is Changing

When you are sick and take an antibiotic, for example, you wait for the symptoms of the disease or infection to disappear. Then you know whether the treatment has worked or not. To take a nutrient beverage such as Zrii is to wait to be surprised. What will change? What will you notice first?

After all, the promotional material says things like -

Anti-aging,
Anti-inflammatory
Helps regulate blood pressure
Good for the heart
Regulates metabolic activity
Increases nutrient absorption
Aids with digestion
Relieves stress
Increases sex drive
Promotes healthy skin

I did not have to wait long for the first dramatic change. There was no mistake; it could not have been attributed to anything else. The Zrii did it. I woke up one morning and realized that I had neither awakened during the night nor had I been to the washroom. I can't remember when that had last happened to me.

I had been a caregiver for nearly 10 years and so was forced to sleep shallowly and be constantly awakened. That role ended in 1999. Following the death of my partner, I had major insomnia for a long time. Then came the time to stop HRT - all the press about the added risk of cancer made me scared. So I have become used to continued shallow sleep and being awakened several times during the night and going to the wash room. So this has been a ritual for maybe 18 years

You can therefore imagine my surprise to wake up that morning in early October realizing that I had slept through the night.
Skeptical about this I went to bed that night not anticipating a repeat. But the end result is that for the past month I have slept right through the night and have not needed to go to the washroom until it was time to get up. Perhaps because of sounder sleep or because of other workings of Zrii, I have far more energy that in the past.

If this is the only change I get from drinking Zrii, it will be worth it. I will keep drinking my 2-3 oz a day. Now I eagerly await what will happen next!!

As I have mentioned before I have a passion for travel so will now include some more photographs from the trip to Quebec that I was on when I started drinking my Zrii.

By the way, if you would like to get these blog entries directly into your email box, why not sign up in the box on the right?

<dc:subject>Zrii</dc:subject>

1. Taking Care of Myself, the Zrii Journey Begins

Now that I am a woman in my 60s I'm aware of the usual arthritic changes that are the result of an active life and conscious that much that can hang on my body, is responding to the effects of gravity. I don't look my age but the face has a little sagging too. I wear tri-focal glasses and need hearing aids. I'm officially retired but run several small businesses from home. I'm going to take care of myself with Zrii.

I am aging and I want to ensure that I remain the healthy independent person that I am now, for as long as possible. I want to take responsibility for my health. I have been a caregiver. I have watched loved ones become diseased and die. I will not deny that that will happen to me, but for now I want to be the best that I can be.

So when I heard about Zrii, the nutrient beverage made from 7 fruits and herbs and formulated using the wisdom of Ayurvedic medicine, I was intrigued. So much about it seemed right for me. I liked the attitudes of those who created the company, I was impressed about the involvement of Deepak Chopra and how the Chopra Centre had endorsed the product. I was intrigued by the rejuvenating qualities of the ingredients.

So in the middle of September 2008 my first 4pack was delivered to my door. My friend Kristin was willing to share the batch. She was out of the country at the time so did not start taking Zrii at the same time as me. I was about to go on a road trip to see the fall colours in Mont Tremblant Quebec and so took my first bottle with me.

This blog will highlight the personal Zrii journey and other accounts I come across.
